WINSOR & NEWTON KOLINSKY SABLE ROUND POINTED BRUSH

The new range of Winsor & Newton Artist watercolour brushes has been created using the expertise of the century-old British house together with the support and advice of expert watercolourists.

The Kolinsky hair used in these brushes has been specially selected from the best hairs of Eastern Siberia.

Kolinsky sable with its exceptional characteristics provides excellent performance for watercolour brushes.

Each hair is made up of millions of tiny scales, which when grouped together on a brush head, have an outstanding colour carrying capacity. This makes it possible on the one hand to cover large areas without having to reload the brush and on the other hand to apply the colour in a more controlled manner.

The durability of the hair, typical of the wild areas where it comes from and the ability to recover the original shape make the Kolinsky sable brush a much more economical product than a synthetic or other natural fibre brush which will not have such a long life.

HANDLE: The wood used comes from controlled felling and has the FSC seal that assures us of the correct management of natural resources. The handle has a unique sculpted profile with two bellies. The central hollow allows the brush to sit comfortably in the hand and combines well with the comfort of the matte finish. The second belly, located towards the end of the brush handle, allows you to work from different positions.
The matte finish provides a more comfortable and secure grip than normal brush finishes.

All ARTIST WATERCOLOUR SABLE BRUSHES are handmade in the Winsor & Newton brush factory in Lowestoft, England.

Each brush is subjected to rigorous quality controls at every stage of manufacturing process.
