Description

WINSOR & NEWTON PROFESSIONAL ACRYLIC MEDIUM MATT UV VARNISH NO. 557

Varnishes act as a protective layer over the finished artwork, protecting it from dirt and grease and other airborne contaminants that might otherwise come into contact with the paint.

Winsor & Newton acrylic varnishes also contain a UV protective agent that improves lightfastness and protects against other UV damage such as fading or change in colour tone.

These varnishes are therefore beneficial when varnishing non lightfast media such as digital prints or giclée prints.

There are three Artists' Acrylic varnishes available depending on the desired finish. These varnishes dry to a uniform finish and can be mixed and matched to vary the result to achieve any sheen.
