WINSOR & NEWTON ARTISTS' PICTURE CLEANER

Liquid designed for cleaning varnished paints without being a strict solvent.

It works by dissolving the oxidation of linseed oil, removing surface dirt and oxidation products from the old varnish.

Contains an emulsified blend of Copaiba balsam, dipentene and pine oil with ammonia.

Instructions for use:

It is necessary to shake the bottle well before using the cleaning liquid, as it settles into two layers of different densities after standing for a certain period of time.

It is not recommended to dilute the product or thin it with any other substance.

Please note that certain paintings with several layers of old varnish should be treated by a professional restorer.

Unvarnished paints can also be treated with the cleaning fluid but always do so with great care and stop the process immediately if you notice that any colour seems to fall out of the paint.
