stochastic screens for screen printing
STOCHASTIC SCREENS FOR SCREEN PRINTING
Characteristics:
Stochastic aquatint screens produced for grain photogravure, photopolymer film and photopolymer plate processes.
Our screens have been developed by Juan Carlos Ramos, professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Granada, after several years of in-depth research and developed using proprietary software. With them you can achieve very deep blacks, a wide tonal palette of smooth transitions and large flat tonal areas of great detail.
Made on conventional silver photographic film, they are intended for use in double-exposure work using autographic, analogue or inkjet processes. They perfectly simulate the random dot of a conventional aquatint. Their dots, imperceptible in the printing, are totally opaque to U.V. light as they have a transmission density greater than 4. These screens have margins of 2.5 cm of clean film with a transmission density of 0.00 for handling, allowing us to keep the total sunlight area of the screen clean at all times.
Types of resolutions:
- TSF (Fine Dot Stochastic Screen): Ideal for work from analogue positives.
- TSM (Medium Dot Stochastic Screen): Medium contrast can be used in any type of positive.
- TSG (Heavy Dot Stochastic Screen): Ideal for double exposure work on autographic or inkjet positives. Also suitable for double exposure work on photopolymer film.
