Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion and Emulsion Sensitiser kit designed to create photo templates with highly detailed images for artistic and professional projects.

You can print designs with fine lines, lettering, halftone images and more

Screen printing with photographic emulsion involves 2 essential steps:

- Step 1. Activation: The Diazo Photo Emulsion must be mixed with the Sensitiser before applying it to the stencil.

- Step 2. Application: Apply on both sides of the screen, removing the excess so that the light exposure is even and does not affect the final print.

- Step 3. Drying: Leave the screen to dry in a dark place, raised slightly so that the emulsion does not rest on any surface.

- Step 4. Image: On a transparent acetate, you can create the desired image using a laser printer or work directly on it with very opaque inks or markers.

- Step 5. Exposure: Place the screen on a black background, then position the image on the screen and secure it with a sheet of acrylic cut to size. Expose it at a distance of 30 cm from an incandescent light source for a few minutes, and the screen will be ready for printing.

In addition, the kit can be combined with the Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion Cleaner, which allows you to remove emulsion from the screen for easy cleaning after use.

NOTE:

We recommend the use of gloves during the process.

Without mixing, the shelf life of the Photo Emulsion and Sensitiser is 3 years, ensuring a long product life.

Once mixed and protected from light exposure, the emulsion can last from 4 weeks at 32 ºC to 8 weeks at 21 ºC. When refrigerated, it can last up to 4 months.
