speedball broad edge nib c-series
SPEEDBALL BROAD EDGE CALLIGRAPHY NIB C-SERIES - RIGHT-HANDED
Speedball C-series nibs with chiselled edges allow a wide range of thick and thin strokes, which vary continuously by changing the angle at which the nib is held in relation to a drawn or imaginary horizontal line.
Even when the pen is held at a constant angle, twists in the drawn line cause variations in its thickness.
Speedball is an American company founded in 1899 in North Carolina.
Although it has now expanded its business field to other products such as screen printing inks, acrylics, watercolours, etc., the most interesting part of its business is still in its Calligraphy & Drawing division (nibs, pens, inks).
The name Speedball comes from the characteristic of its most popular and appreciated calligraphy nibs, which consists of a reservoir attached to the nib that makes the writing last longer without having to refill the ink, which reduces the work time by half.
