SOMERSET TEXTURED PRINTMAKING PAPER

Somerset printmaking paper

SOMERSET papers are manufactured at St Cuthberts Paper Mill in Somerset (England).

They are high-quality, acid-free art papers treated with calcium carbonate, which makes them highly resistant to ageing and fading.

The production is carried out on a cylinder mould machine with the purest cotton and alpha-cellulose fibres.

The surface of the paper has been treated to be slightly absorbent to ensure that the ink adheres to the sheet.

During paper manufacturing, rigorous quality control checks are routinely carried out to ensure the highest standard.

St Cuthberts Mill is regulated by the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard.

Due to its primer, the paper should be held by the edges to avoid touching the surface.

The paper surface is most vulnerable when wet and should be handled with care.
