RTV LC-17 SILICONE KIT + LC-17 CATALYST

The RTV LC-17 silicone and LC-17 catalyst kit are widely used in the production of moulds for reproducing models in wax, ceramics, wood, metal, stone, plaster, etc., using materials such as polyester resins, polyurethane, artificial stone, alabaster, gypsum, and more.

RTV LC-17 is a 2-component silicone elastomer which, when mixed in a ratio of 100:5 at room temperature, produces a flexible, elastic final product with excellent mechanical properties.

How to use:

1. Mix the base and catalyst in a container (5 g of catalyst for every 100 g of silicone), using manual or mechanical agitation while avoiding incorporating air into the mixture.

2. The mixture should be poured cautiously to avoid air entrapment, which would lead to
the formation of bubbles that affect the mould and the final finish of the piece.

Recommendation: To obtain moulds without internal voids, it is advised to deaerate the mixture using a vacuum chamber (sold separately). A vacuum between 30 and 50 mm/Hg for a few minutes will suffice.
