Description

PARALOID B72 SYNTHETIC RESIN

Paraloid B-72 is a solid acrylic resin, presented in the form of small transparent beads and is used as a consolidating agent to compact surfaces as well as an adhesive or fixative.

Soluble in different types of solvents such as ketones, esters and ethers, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc.

It is insoluble in water and very slightly in ethyl alcohol and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

The recommended solvent is acetone (which is very volatile and has low toxicity).

The best results are obtained by slow immersion of the object in the solution.

Valid as a retouching varnish, it can be applied with normal varnish systems such as airbrush, spray gun or brush.

It is used as an adhesive in restoration work.
