HOLBEIN ARTISTS' WATERCOLOUR SETS

Holbein watercolours are manufactured in Japan, the country with the oldest tradition of professional watercolour use in the world. Japanese watercolour colours have always been renowned for their brilliance, and Holbein continues the same tradition.

For more than a century, Holbein's colour laboratories have produced a complete range of transparent watercolours that are above world standards in lightfastness and permanence. They retain their clean, crisp and brilliant characteristics over long periods of time.

In addition to the pigments traditionally used in European art, the Holbein watercolour range contains many exceptional and brilliant colours not found in other watercolour brands.

Holbein contains no ox gall or any other dispersants that inhibit optimum brush handling qualities. This makes Holbein watercolours ideal for painting in the Japanese tradition, where brushstrokes are preserved. Holbein is the perfect choice for fine detail work, such as lettering and fine lines.

This is a professional watercolour range. Some colours contain traditional artist pigments such as cadmium salts, which are toxic. Warning labels must be taken into account and strictly followed. Do not wet or moisten the brush with the mouth. Do not eat, drink or smoke while painting. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and skin. After painting, wash hands, nails and tools thoroughly.
