GAMBLIN STUDIO KNIVES - PALETTE KNIVES
Gamblin Studio palette knives are designed to work big. You can create colour blends, work with impasto techniques and add texture to your artwork.
Ideal for working on large areas, smoothing, dragging the texture or edges of your paint, making sharp, thick, detailed lines and marks, etc.
When we paint, we work with our heads, hearts and hands. These palette knives have been designed with that same concept in mind, carefully designed to generate joy, express artistic intent and support a lifetime of painting.
Sustainably crafted from wood and FlexSteel, a 1.5 mm thick, one-piece carbon steel with a satin matt, non-reflective and flexible finish.
Uniform tension and flexibility for oils, acrylics and gouache.
Handle with excellent manoeuvrability.
We recommend avoiding bending the blade, letting the paint dry on the sheet, and soaking the handle in water, solvent, or any liquid. It can be easily cleaned with Gamsol solvent, water and soap, a cleaning wipe, or safflower oil.
Its design allows you to place them upright, on a magnetic surface, or store them easily. You can also display them in your studio, adding touches of colour, design, and elegance to the environment. Its back reduces oscillation and helps the sheet stay in place.
In the over 40 years since the brand's founding, Gamblin has moved 5 times. Along the way, they have created colours and materials that are safer and more permanent. The Studio Knife painting knives are a tribute and are named after each street in Portland where Gamblin has been headquartered.
