ESCODA SIGNATURE COLLECTION NICHOLAS SIMMONS BARROCO BRUSH SETS - GOLD TORAY FIBRE

Nicholas Simmons (Washington DC, USA)

Nicholas Simmons works with watercolour in much the same way as he does with oil or acrylic. His subject matter is a dazzling mix of figures juxtaposed with printed lettering, graffiti, Japanese woodcuts, neon lights, reflections and splendid nature-filled corners.

He is one of six painters who are part of the North American Watercolor Artists, who represent the United States in various international exhibitions.

This artist creates all his work with a single series, the BARROCO, combining round brushes of numbers 8, 12, 16 and 20. He adds a mottler brush No. 18, also in Toray gold fibre, for backgrounds and large surfaces.

According to the artist himself, the round brush is perfectly suited for stippling, enabling him to develop his entire work with a single number.

Set No. 1 is composed of 3 Toray gold synthetic fibre brushes, round pointed, in numbers 8, 12 and 20.

Set No. 2 is made up of 1 Toray gold synthetic fibre brush, round pointed, in No. 16, and a simple mottler brush of the same fibre of No. 16.
