DERWENT BLENDER PENCIL

Mixes colours easily.

Blending pencils are used to mix and combine layers of colour with each other, which makes the colours very bright and intense.

Use the blending pencil to create a slightly blended layered effect, to blend colours and to soften the hard lines of coloured pencil work.

The blending pencil is an uncoloured soft pencil made from the binder used in coloured pencils.

When applied to the drawing, it combines several layers of pigment to produce subtle colour combinations.

COLOUR MIXING

1. Technique of applying two or more colours in layers, in order to create a new colour.
