Living in China was the time when the study of brush control had the greatest impact on the evolution of Jean Haines' style. Later work with artists from India and Pakistan introduced vibrant colours into his results. The combination of East and West in his style is unavoidable and to be enjoyed. Light and the use of beautiful colours are the hallmarks of his work.

Daniel Smith are handmade in Seattle (USA) since 1993. High concentration of finely ground pigments and excellent lightfastness.
