akashiya starter set of 2 nihongumi calligraphy brushes

STARTER SET BY AKASHIYA WITH 2 NIHONGUMI CALLIGRAPHY BRUSHES

Akashiya set with 2 calligraphy brushes for beginners for inks and wet techniques.

The thick brush has a bamboo handle with a hanging cord and the hair is made of horsetail and raccoon. It has a long brush tip and is very flexible and elastic for thick characters. The fine brush is made of a mixture of polyester and horsetail. It allows for finer, more delicate and controlled brush strokes. Both brushes have a tapered tip for finer details.

Measurements:
- Fine brush: 6 mm diameter, 24 mm long.
- Thick brush: 11 mm diameter, 43 mm long.

The set is perfect for beginners to learn the characters and letters of different thicknesses of all types of calligraphy, as well as for painters who want to get to know the classical Japanese brush.

A transparent cap is included to protect the hair on both brushes. This plastic cap is recommended for transport only.

After use, do not wash the brush directly with water. Use a damp cloth for the hair area and let it dry without placing the protective cap so that all the moisture evaporates properly, and the handle is not damaged.
